AHA is pleased to announce a new collaboration with TAFE NSW.
The first priority of this collaboration is to offer a new Diploma:
the Diploma of Water Industry Operations.
“The new collaboration allows AHA to have a hands on partnership and deliver Hydrography subjects that meet industry requirements. The link with TAFE NSW is a great mix as both have a keen interest in water management”‘ say Bill Barratt FAHA, AHA President.
“AHA will be able to offer members a value for money program and non members will be welcomed to apply as well”, he continued.
TAFE NSW sees the AHA as a natural fit for collaboration in the delivery of this Diploma, which is critical to build the skills of the water industry.
Bill Barratt is pictured at a recent meeting with Guy Kemshal-Bell, Director of Production at TAFE NSW, where the benefits of the collaboration were discussed.
AHA approached several organisations to form a collaboration and TAFE NSW proved to be the best fit. AHA owns the specialist subjects and is involved in delivering and assessing the subjects, with plans to offer additional options in the near future.
Whilst it has been some time in the making, work is now well under way to offer and deliver the Diploma.
Prospective students have access to pre-reading and the full course offering will be online shortly.
All enquiries can be directed to the AHA Office and registration is available online at http://aha.net.au/development/diploma/.
