Hydrography Fundamentals

AHA is delivering a one day course designed for people working with hydrographic data or who would like to undertake a face-to-face course on the fundamentals of hydrography.

The course will begin after lunch on the final day of the AHA 2108 Conference.

Course outline:

  • Session 1 – Data Collection
    • Introduction and Terminology
    • Measuring Stage (inc. techniques and equipment)
    • Measuring Flow (inc. techniques and equipment)
    • Surveys
    • Site Selection
  • Session 2 – Discharge Calculation
    • Hydraulics
    • Ratings
    • Flow Results

Session 2: 09:00–12:30 Friday 16 November

Full cost: $420+GST

The Fundamentals course can prepare you for study of the AHA Introduction to Hydrography course, which will qualify you to apply for AHA Cadet Certified Hydrographer (CCH).
