This session will outline techniques associated with digital signal processing and how these affect our daily lives in many ways. The session will then outline how these techniques are now used widely in water measurement instrument design and manufacture. The session will also provide some history as to the growth of digital signal processing and the emerging new components which facilitate the design of water monitoring instruments.
