About the role
As part of a small specialised team, the Assistant Hydrographer will monitor, analyse, and report on the water resources of Tasmania.
• Assist in the efficient collection, collation, and reporting of Statewide water quantity and quality data.
• Maintain specialised Hydrometric and Water Quality field equipment.
• Carry out repairs to water monitoring equipment and streamflow infrastructure.
• Use advanced skills in the fabrication of equipment and construction of sites.
Our ideal candidate has
• Civil engineering background.
• Consulting experience.
• A future-focused mindset.
• Considerable understanding of water quantity & quality assessment and associated instrumentation.
• High level of competence in report writing and ability to technically and editorially peer review.
