Australian Industry Standards
Australian Industry Standards (AIS) is a government-funded, not-for-profit organisation working with industry leadership to ensure Training Packages are contemporary, future-focused and aligned with industry needs.
AHA is represented on an AIS Technical Advisory Committee advising on the revision of Diploma and Cert IV in Water Industry Operations and Hydrometric Monitoring Basics Skill Set.
Standards Australia
Standards Australia is the country’s leading independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit standards organisation. They are also Australia’s representatives of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
AHA is represented on Technical Committee CE024. Currently the committee is reviewing a large number of AS3778 standards which are “aged”.
WaMSTeC
Since 2014, the Bureau of Meteorology has convened the Water Monitoring Standards Technical Committee (WaMSTeC). Review and endorsement of standards and guidelines are the principle functions of WaMSTeC. Its membership comprises over 25 industry organisations that share an interest in advancing consistent water information standards at the national level.
