We are pleased to announce that AHA has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Irrigation Australia (IAL).
The drive by several state governments to strengthen metering standards and regulations will be enhanced by the MOU, recently signed between Irrigation Australia Ltd (IAL) and the Australian Hydrographers Association (AHA).
The two organisations can now work on mutually beneficial projects, drawing on the expertise of each other. Both organisations agree that by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding that we can share knowledge and information and promote each other’s certification programs. IAL and AHA both provide professional certification to the irrigation industry with AHA focusing on open channel systems and IAL on closed conduit systems. Under the partnership agreement professionals who undertake meter installation and validation from either organisation can elect to undertake training and become certified in open channel or closed conduit systems, as long as they meet the necessary requirements and have requisite skills/experience.
This arrangement does not affect the independence of either Association but provides benefits to financial members of both organisations.
Primarily, AHA members can now access IAL courses, events and services at IAL MEMBER RATES. Meanwhile, IAL members can now access AHA courses, events and services at AHA MEMBER RATES.
The two organisations will also explore training collaboration opportunities; utilising the expertise of each association.
