Stephen Thatcher - Department of Water Resources NSW , 02 October, 1990

Foy Brook (or Bowmans Creek) is a tributary of the Hunter River with a catchment area of 250 square kilometres. It is located in the Upper Hunter between Singleton and Muswellbrook . From Upper Hebden down to the New England Highway (about half its catchment), there has been coal mining over many years under and near the stream.
